Manjiri Asnare-Kelkar is a distinguished figure in contemporary Hindustani classical music, celebrated as one of the foremost exponents of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. Known for her pristine and complex gayaki, she has trained under the rigorous tutelage of her father, Pandit Yeshwantrao Marathe, and later under the guidance of the gharana stalwart, Kishori Amonkar. Asnare-Kelkar is highly regarded for her command over rare and compound ragas, which she presents with a unique structural clarity, intricate layakari, and a powerful, resonant voice.
