Prasad Khaparde is a highly regarded Hindustani classical vocalist, celebrated as a talented and mature artist of the current generation. He received his early training from several gurus, including Pandit D.V. Panke and Vidushi Sumantai Choudhari, before becoming a senior scholar and disciple of the late Padma Bhushan Ustad Rashid Khan at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata. Representing the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, Khaparde's gayaki (singing style) is known for its sonorous and mellifluous quality, blending traditional authenticity with a unique personal expression.
